Acceptance Poem by Demir Suljkanovic

Acceptance

Accept our fragmented heart,
Me and my happiness are apart
Smother all our hopes alive
And allow your despair to thrive

In this desolation, we will ache
With hope in hell we never wake
But if you do, we shan't follow
We will be here on the Morrow

Weeping until we weep no more
For our heart they so cruelly tore
And this lasting pain will be gone
Only then can we be happy alone.
