Accepting The Obvious Poem by jkd jkd

Accepting The Obvious

breathe in - breathe out - breathe in - breathe out
I could have been the 5th son of a cattle farmer in Somalia
I could have been hungry all my life
I could have died in that car crash on a Monday
there's no sex in your violence!
I could have been Lazarus raised from the dead by this miracle man
I could have been born some decades later
I could have died from an overdose that afternoon
accepting the obvious
I could have been unfaithful
I could have lied
I could have chosen differently
breathe in - breathe out - breathe in - breathe out
I could have told you who I am
I could have shown you how I felt
I could have seen all that was to come
there's no sex in your violence!
could have, could have, could have,
if
accepting the obvious
well - hahaha
