Aces Fall Poem by Adam Amason

Aces Fall

Amongst the sky, I drift away. To somewhere beyond the clouds.
I feel my memories float away as I embrace my future. Weightless I become, my burdens depart from my soul.
The sun begins to set in the horizon, darkness entices my body. Frantic, as I loose sight, I cling to my future as I fall. Grip weakens as the fire within me fades, nothing remains but cold. No light shines, eyes closed, I wait for the bottom. I pray for the bleesings I have known, and for my life of no more. My eyes open, starring into the clouds, realizing I have been saved. Once more I embrace my future, clinging to my memories so I will never fall again.
