Aching Wounds. Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Aching Wounds.

Rating: 5.0

Culture tells us to move past
this process of grief quickly.

Take a few days,
weeks perhaps, to grieve,
but don't stay there too long.

Grieving can make those
around us uncomfortable.

Friends sometimes don't
know what to do with our pain.
Loved ones struggle to find
adequate words to
comfort our aching wounds.

„The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31: 8-9
