Act 1 Scene 3 Poem by brianna arnott

Act 1 Scene 3

Act 1 (Sleeping through it all)
Scene 3 (the Apology)

(THE LOVED enters the COFFEE SHOP where THE LOVER has arranged for them to meet. THE LOVED sits down at THE LOVER's table, and THE LOVER immediatly starts in.)

THE LOVER: Before we fall apart. I just want you to know that I meant every word. I thought you should know.

(THE LOVED's mouth opens to speak, suprised. THE LOVER interupts.)

THE LOVER: Nothing ever sounded so tragic as your heart against the floor, and I watched it fall because I promised not to keep a secret. But I was never to be trusted.

(THE LOVED is speechless. THE LOVER stares searching for a moment, then continues.)

THE LOVER: Nothing ever sounded so final as the conviction in your voice.

THE LOVED: I wont love you after tonight.

TEH LOVER: So go ahead and leave me. I know I deserve it.

(THE LOVED still looking confused gets up and walks out.)
