Act 2 Scene 2 Poem by brianna arnott

Act 2 Scene 2

(the LOVER and the LOVED are in the BEDROOM. the LOVED's eyes are red and puffy from crying)

the LOVER: So paint yourself up innocent and practice looking hurt, because it's 3 minuets to curtain and your starring int he role of victim. Don't act like you didn't notice
there's blood soaking through your make-up. Don't you try to tell me that you didn't see this coming and don't you try pretending that none of this was your fault.

(the LOVED starts crying again. the LOVER looks exasperated)

the LOVER: you can only fake so many smiles before your lipos crack and bleed. How much blood can you swallow before you get sick.

(the LOVED gets off the bed and trys to leave, the LOVER bars the door)

the LOVER: buy yourself on more escape, pretend it helps to ease the pain of lettig eveyone have you to do with as they will. But remember when your crying that it's you causing this depression. I know that you love wearing all your saddness as a fashion and i know you love attention but you can't live on misery.

(the LOVED pushes past sobbing and exits)
