Actual Mother Poem by Phil McDonnell

Actual Mother

Mother listen to me for once!
I don’t care about memories.
Usually I’m just whining but this is important.
It’s not like that time with the noodle.
It’s an actual issue, one that I unfortunately can’t solve on my own.
You’ve ignored me for five minutes rambling.
I’ve got something to tell you and it’s a bit of a touchy subject.
I know in the past you’ve never listened to what I’ve had to say.
Not that I needed you, you’re pretty incompetent.
But I need you to listen now.
I’d demonstrate what Dad does to me,
But I don’t have a doll.
I need you to take me with you.
I’d rather not have dad take me again.
