Adam And Eve Syndrome Poem by Dairedee BurrisLandwehr

Adam And Eve Syndrome

Rating: 5.0

The doors of perception are off their hinges
lying on the ground waiting for
someone to notice.

The masses peer cautiously through
the open space afraid
to enter.

Do you dare expand your mind;
step over the threshhold into
what life could be?

or do you walk past, comfortable
in being blind like Adam and Eve;
shielded from knowledge.

Wow Dairdee, this is an amazing poem. I love the reference to Huxley and the Adam and Eve ending fits just right. This gets a 10+ from me. Excellent work.
