Patrick McFarland fairly exudes a rich atmosphere of the conflicted emotions and the bewitching panoramas of the human condition, and he is never afraid to plumb it's depths..if he were a novel I should have to urge you to buy him right away. As it is; I can only encourage you to read all his poems; every one. He is a beacon, an example of the finest writing skill; from crass to subtle: he is master artist of it all.

That quivers in the sun;
A windy gust, a grave of dust,
The little race is run.
Ah, me!
Were that the only one.

Writing a poem is not about bringing some words together to create some charming sentences. It's so much deeper than that. Writing poetry is a bridge that allows people to express their feelings and make others live every single word they read. Poetry is to educate people, to lead them away from hate to love, from violence to mercy and pity. Writing poetry is to help this community better understand life and live it more passionately. PoemHunter.com contains an enormous number of famous poems from all over the world, by both classical and modern poets.
