Addiction Subscription Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Addiction Subscription

The love that you were giving me
a substance I abused
couldn't stop if I wanted to
this option I refused

What was once a life saving drug
will now cause my demize
lost in my world of madness
drowning in your lies

Before long I became an addict
I could never quit
provoking your tension
I craved the venom you spit

Five days sober
not a dropp of you in my being
the bad dreams slips away
with them you've left it'd seem
