Adero Poem by Robert Abok

Adero

From a distance I can hear her voice,
One that always puts a shaft of light on my face,
So sweet is the song
That not another voice triumphs when her song is sung
She's of great beauty, lovelier than the gorges of the Rift
She's the splendor of Africa as per God's intention
Always I've vocalized of a hero,
One who rates nothing adjacent to a zero,
I want you to call this woman, Adero.
