It's been days since I have last seen your face
I would understand if you told me, I just assume you need space
I promised I'd do my best to keep you happy
but you aren't, at least not with me

So I'll let you go but know that I still love you
because you act as if I never told you,
you act if we were just a dream,
it makes me want to burst out and scream.

Because you said it was us against the world
we'd over come whatever was hurled,
aimed at us
but you threw me beneath the bus.

I can't say I miss you
although I know I do
please don't lie and say you do too
Because I'm saying goodbye and adieu.
