Daisy, ah! daisy,
Sitting all lone beside the lover's window
Your pale gaze does await, whose shadow?
Where did your lovely vibrancy fade away while,
The trees in the glen, in full bloom, they smile?
Once an epitome of the tenderest beauty
How come you arouse in me such pity?
So young, yet grave, how did you grow
Does life through your feeble veins still flow?
Why drowned so deep in a sea of eternal sorrows
When your smile I've awaited a million morrows?
Alas! The breath fleeing with the fragrance leaving you pale
Tells how betrayal and irony interlaced reflects your tale
Daisy, ah! daisy.
