Advice To The Fetus Poem by Nilufer Dursun

Advice To The Fetus

You, fresh bud
Don’t you know so what
The voyage is from one darkness
To another…

Womb of mother is tender
Carefree very warm
Do not came to the earth
Do not hey child.

Sı rat Bridge is in the earth
Danger, excitement, tests are here
You’re not able to know where
This sail goes,
Where will this voyage end,
How long will it take time…

Instently the fetus turns
Towards to the light
However it will be the captive
Of the very short life…

When I’m alone
I’ll grown in number two, three
Later on In the thorny ways
I ‘ll roll towards the disasters.

How does the fetus know
Life is a well, dark deep
In order to get rid of well
Your pretty days
Will be spent trying hard.
However how does the fetus know
The value of the mother’s womb…

Be ware! Do not mind the colour of the sun
If the moon rises, do not beleive
Clouds are near, every thing is near
All of them is a dream
Why do they call it transitory life

Come do not let the devil to get the better
Fetus! go on staying in your place
I advice you to live in the warmness
Of your mother’s womb,
Which is your place…
