Aevum Poem by Alex Aamoth

Aevum

Ok, here I am.
Years since it happened.
Living the life I did not know back then.
Here in the city of emeralds, I now rest.
She did not cause what I did, nor did he.
I have learned that I was to blame.
Scars healed, memories faded, things normal.
The sun still sets in the west.
Same colors, different meaning.
This is the life I now have.
