Afraid Of Our Friendship Poem by Khansaa Ammara

Afraid Of Our Friendship

In this world of despair where despair doesn't exist
Is it that hard to hold my hand tight?
You trick yourself into thinking that I'm alright
Is it that hard to hold my hand tight?
Why don't you run over the barley field as the sunshine shines beneath your head
Come over as I catch your hugs
Spend the money and let the despair be gone

Was it that hard to hold my hand tight?
Is it still hard to hold my hand tight?
What's the point of regards when the end is clear?
Oh sis, let us staple each others hands
Wrap our hands tightly with a rope
even if blood gushes out exposing our pain
Let God decide our bond
Let me fall in the pit of being conned
toxic much, but don't let it sway
So i guess this is our way?
Farewell sister, let us forget each other from now on
let us hear our last steps together, you say
Don't follow me when I've finally stepped out

A face of yours would be an extreme to bear
Leave me please to die in your heart
But why do you keep on giving me air?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A true friendship even includes an ending, but what if the end is not wanted? What if your bond is too strong its almost impossible to break off? What if...you're stuck between start to end?
