After A Long Walk Poem by RIC BASTASA

After A Long Walk

Rating: 5.0

after a long walk
you stop a while
sitting on a dead tree
under the clouds

the sky turns dark
the clouds heavy and black
the rain begins to fall
heavily on you

you do not run for cover
you look up to the sky
you open your mouth
drink the rain & accept everything
