After Christmas Poem by Victoria Gauci

After Christmas

The Christmas wonder comes to close,
And wearily I feel woe,
My heart is dripping icicle tears,
For loss of moments and the years,
Yet the memories never fade,
It was you who always made,
The joy and magic come alive,
Inside I find where love does hide,
In the darkest moments now,
I never cease to wonder how,
No matter what, the love was there,
For every one of us to share,
A top my tree my angel stands,
Outstretched wings and open hands,
I feel the love you left behind,
It grips my heart and helps to bind,
This family of love that you created,
From our birth our lives were fated,
To love eachother and carry on,
The love our family was build upon.
