After Rain Poem by Dana Lamb

After Rain

Aroma of silvery rain
Intangible
lingering
Evanescent
Drops glistening
Like pearls
Sun begins to shine
First almost timidly
Then revealing
All its eternal glory
A stray cat running across the street
As if on some errand
An old man with his dog
Playing in the wet grass
Life is a treasure box
Am I hallicunating
Am I mad
Or can there truly be
So much beauty in the world
