THE FACT is
that you have sinned
Took you more time
to realize the
significance of this.
For nights you rebel
upon this shortcoming
unexpected, so unbecoming
of what and who
you are.
now you are at the stage
of redefining what sin really is.
different perspectives
in all directions you have
all the questions with
answers slowly creeping
like some stars getting
out of the light into
the glimmer of the dark
where they can all shine
together in distances
of their own making.
what are you now? humbled.
more understanding about the
plights of other people.
under the shadows of dread.
more into silence and
more into putting other people's
shoes as your own.
deep well, deeper oceans
swimming, diving and understanding
sea floors, and rocks beneath
the waters, another home in fact,
which you thought cannot exist.
it is the sinning that makes
you understand sin, the coming
down the stairs which make
you feel how it is to be down
there, and the dream of coming
up with a better self, by the
window sill, watching all kinds
of sad people passing by,
and of course, those children
skipping ropes and whistling
and girls with their new hats
and skirts feeling proud of
their buying mothers.
