After The Rain Poem by Gideon Ide

After The Rain

You fill my heart
With all the hatred from above
I know you mean so much
And it seems a little bit like love.
The rising waters from the tears
On my face
I look up toward the sky
And I find out this is my place.
With all the wars
We feel the sorrow from our loss.
Scream with all our voices
Until we get our point across.

The sun is rising upward
I've lived another day
The words I speak are meek and young
I think it's time I say:

'I am the one who truly loved you
I am the one who feels your pain
Tomorrow might be dark and dreary
I am the sun after your rain.'
