If I could harness the colours of the wind,
and lay them at your tired, weary feet,
tied in bouquets of radiant bloom,
could you embrace the beauty of your life.
If I captured the love in a new-born's smile,
and painted it tenderly with gossamer feathers.
on your sculpted, tear stained, apple cheeks,
would you forget the hurt that fuels your tears?
If I could bathe you in light from a galaxy of stars,
and dress you in the warmth of eternal sun,
shielding you from the biting cold of your reality,
would it cast the frozen midnight from your soul?
If I could pour calming oil on the raging ocean,
silencing the tide of your restless anxieties,
guide you inland, to the safe harbour of my love,
could you rest peacefully in the solace of my arms?
