Walked alone last night
spent some time on my own
people around me were happy
i don't know why but sumdin made me
hate their happiness
maybe i knew dey had someone for them
someone special like you
like how u made me smile through all the tears
maybe they had someone like you

I looked at the sky
felt like it was mocking me
telling me 'your all alone' and
'I can watch over him and you just cant'
but then i saw da moon
though not full...just a crescent
felt like it was promising me
that it would watch over you for me
with whatever it had
that it won't let u fall...in thea darkness
there was this lonely star too
thought it understood my pain
how it was to feel lonely all of a sudden
it was burning from inside....just to shine
for someone far away to notice;
to share in its pain

talked so much abt lifeless things
but in me there's a heart
a heart still beating
ya....its still beating
but not like it used to
when u were near
when i could feel your touch
not like when u looked at
me in my eyes
those eyes, that look
they make me cry now
cause now all i m without you is...
