Afterwards Poem by Ankur Beohar

Afterwards

Rating: 4.0

If 'where will I now find you? '
is the question that you have,

let me tell you:

You'll not find me in the poems anymore
I've stopped publishing my intensity.

You'd not find me echoing the laughter of our friends
I am on the way to eternity.

You'd not find me biking on the streets
My spirit has learnt the art of flight.

You'd not find me arguing with myself,
I am at peace today, even in calamity

And then there are those little things that we shared

Maybe, somewhere deep within
In the inner corners of your heart,
You've still kept those parts of me alive,

If you remember me, if you'd want me to be there,
Rekindle those shared memories,
And maybe, just maybe, you know

If I feel like being there,
You'd find me, still living our shared destiny.

Nostalgic..Makes me think of how we look at all the wrong places to find people sometimes..Very moving and insightful
