Age Poem by Ragy Sandid

Age

It was the age of ignorance
Knowledge weighed in the balance

It was the age of discovery
Man was on his way to recovery

It was the age of enlightenment
Man discovered he had entitlement

It was the age of working together
It was better to serve than sever

It was the age of emperors and kings
Man's downward spiral swings

It was the age of slaves and masters
The rich are saved, the poor gulp disaster

It was the age of prophets
Man's first wisdom without profits

It was the age of wars
Equal weapons with no equal scores

It was the age of solidarity
The world in a latitude shared prosperity

It was the age of expansion
The world is a limitless dimension

It was the age of tyranny
People are tricked into serenity

It was the age of revolutions
Man did not accept soiled solutions

It was the age of power
Who's upper and who's lower

It was the age communication
Barriers removed from destination

It is the age of non-conformity
It is the age of untold stories
It is the age of unfinished poetry
It is the age of copper glory
