Ah, Time Poem by Gene Simia

Ah, Time

How you elude me! How you delude me with the appearance
of knowing your essence!
Your nature, one of succession and progression is at the core of my future position, yet you cry out with infinite regression!

I long to know what is in store, yet thrive on memories before
only to tarry but for a moment, waiting for you to carry me along.
How I long to grasp your intricacies, to see your face, to capture the pace of your creative minions.

While I'm occupied, your presence is not felt, as if you are not present though simultaneously dealt.
Your essence is the Universal constant which underlies the grand design of the distant galaxies and the sublime beauty of a rose!

Ah, Time! How might I speak of you? You're unseen yet seen. You begin and never end. The music of your nature fills my soul with unspeakable joy, yet you elude me.
Let me have one more moment to embrace you!

An insightful train of thought, well articulated and elegantly brought forth in good poetic diction with conviction. Lovely piece of the essence of Time. Thanks for sharing.
