Ailatan - Poem by David Thomas

so subtle,
so sweet it makes the grass tense
like a mother's love it comforts
and then it collects,
everything comes together
in one, constantly underrated,
perfect moment

your eyes shine with joy
as our hands play their games
inside of my heart the serpent retreats
and outside the joy repeats,
love is like falling and falling's like love

babe i miss you when you're not around,
you're the hawaii to my 5-0,
the sauce to my age (that you love so much)
and i'll always laugh at you,
between dropping ice and little stools
from the moment i awake
to the moment i sleep,
i will be full of no feelings for you
other than love, and love alone.
