Aint No Ties On My Neck Poem by John W. McEwers

Aint No Ties On My Neck

You cant tie me down
make me wear ties
bound my soul in styles
like suits and jackets
and secretarial garb
like blue striped clip-ons
so i can secretary your life
and keep track
take minutes
write down everything you say
like a good boy
good worker
good writer
like the author
of a biography
you never paid.
