Aislinn's Lullaby Poem by Nick Downer

Aislinn's Lullaby

-I wrote this poem for when I have my first daughter, Aislinn-

Nighttime is coming,
The moon’s drawing near,
But hush little Aislinn,
Your mummy is here.
I tell you I love you,
You know that I care,
Your safe little Aislinn,
Cuz mummy is there.
Dream of great things now,
When you close your eyes.
Of fairies and castles,
And soft lullabies.
I’ve scattered the monsters,
From under your bed,
No one’s there to hurt you,
So lay down your head,
And listen while mummy,
Sings softly to you.
I love you my angel,
For just being you.
Nighttime is coming,
The moon’s getting close,
But hush little Aislinn,
You’re the one I love most.

Awwwww! This is such a cute poem. The monsters rid from under the bed should be well appreciated by Aislinn. Whether it be Aislinn or a son or daughter by any other name, he/she will be loved by a sweet and caring mother.
