Alas My Soul Poem by Gary James Smith

Alas My Soul

Rating: 5.0

Alas My Soul

Alas my soul leave off hesitation
Come and embrace the Lord of Salvation
Submit yourself to God...resist the devil
For Satan is the father of evil
Embrace the Cross! ... embrace the Cross!
Leave off suffering eternal loss

Praise God there's hope in the living One
Comprised of the Father...the Spirir...the Son
O triune God deliver me
From the shackles of sin encompassing me
To be saved by the blood of the Crucified One
Let the new birth in me be begun

O Lord I come in true willingness
Anxious for You my soul to now bless
Seeking forgiveness for all of my sin
In true repentance I call upon Him
The One who loved me from eternity past
And gives me assurance that faith shall last

O bend O knee O bow O heart
Let the Lord His grace impart
And light begin to spread its rays
To guide thee in thy walk always
Salvation Hallelujah...Salvation is come!
Tarry not! ....or alas thy doom!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
