Help Me Lord
Help me Lord to not give in
To a mindset of my own making
But arrest my thoughts as they venture there
I need Your undertaking
For I am weak at times my God
And my burdens I try to bear
When You have told me take each burden
To the Lord and leave them there
Help me seek Thy face each day
In the early morning hour
And when I do I know You are pleased
I want to know Your power
Praise God for Thy Holy Spirit
A Comforter indeed
For when I am at my darkest moment
Your grace supplies my need
Take an x-ray of my heart
Show me where I falter
Then bring me to that quiet place
Before Thee at Thy altar
And in praising recognition
For what You've done for me
Here I am again O Lord
Thank God for Calvary!

Freedom from one's own make-belief and prejudice leads to the liberation of a soul. It is by the grace of Lord that we can attain this state. Thanks, Gary.
Gary, what a lovely poem, and perfectly timed for Holy Week and Easter! It reads like one of the Psalms of King David.

I would like to translate this poem
Dear Sir Smith....a heartily written Prayer, thanks for sharing.
