Alien Poem by Ahmed Aedan

Alien

I'm not strong…
I'm not weak…
I didn't have hatred,
I didn't have rage…
All I had was lonely…
All I wanted was a friend…
I'm not weak…
For I, too, cry endless notion,
and with watery eyes flood the ocean…
All I had was lonely…
All I wanted was a friend…
All I cried wasn't tears…
For I, too, cry endless notion,
and with watery eyes flood the ocean…
All that tore wasn't clothes…
All I cried wasn't tears…
All I asked was a friend…
Loathing existence is I?
Scorned soul will I be?
I didn't have hatred,
I didn't have rage…
Will I stop?
Will I linger in the world of torment…?
All that gone wasn't a heart…
Will you answer my call? For I am an alien,
I'm not strong.
