Alienated Poem by Hawkins Rodgers

Alienated

Alienated for clinging to that final ideal
Cast away for desperately trying to believe all the noble ideas of our childhood were real
Now I feel, confused, and the way this's been going I may never figure it all out
But forgive me for not so quickly surrendering all of my hopes, to doubt
