Alienation Poem by Tapas Baidya

Alienation

A starved man spends a sleepless night
A black-marketer who hoards illogically
Also spends a night without sleeping

The hungry man thinks why the hoarder is sleepless
The hoarder thinks why not the man goes to bed

An absurd darkness prevails between the two
They do not realize that a distance like some light-years
Has alienated them since the birth of civilization

So straight, so lucid the poetic arrow penetrates the readers heart. Excellent Mr. Tapas.
