Aljine Loquiño, Im Here For You Poem by Donward Caniete Bughaw

Aljine Loquiño, Im Here For You

In twenty-sixteen our paths did meet,
Beneath the sun your smile was bright.
I saw you there, my heart's repeat,
And knew at once you felt just right.

I fell in love without a sound,
Your laugh became my sweetest tune.
No fear could pull me from that ground,
Where all my dreams began to bloom.

We weathered storms that tried to break,
The doubts that lingered in the night.
Yet every vow we chose to make
Stood steady in the fading light.

Then distance called you far away,
Across the seas you had to go.
The miles stretched long both night and day,
But still your name I whisper low.

Aljine, my love, across the blue,
I count the hours till you're near.
Your voice is all I'm holding to,
It keeps my hope forever clear.

Though time may test and oceans roar,
I know our love will stay so true.
For every mile just makes me sure —
Aljine Loquiño, I'm here for you.
