Why do you stare to me at night,
Giving me nightmares and waking up in fright?
Stop whispering to my ear,
Of things I do not want to hear.
Your shadow lurks all around me,
Screaming like a banshee.
Filling my mind with your repulsion,
Causing me episodes of convulsions.
Seizing and demolishing every inch of my hope,
Leaving me defenseless and only to mope.
Why oh why has god given me but a tormenting sentence?
For I have never given him a reason to deserve such a penance.
The torment only ascends,
I begin to fear I shall never mend.
Will the horror ever cease?
Will my soul ever rest in peace?
Perhaps not.
Maybe not ever.
My demons will chase me until the never.

This is a terrific morbid poem. It describes perfectly the darkness that we all suffer and perhaps the title is the most powerful part of the poem. It is very terrible to only ever know demons instead of the angels we all deserve. I can relate to this poem and it inspires me.
