All I Want Poem by Amanda Saveley

All I Want

Rating: 5.0

You lost me somehow
And I'm drifting amongst these faces I do not know
In this city where only names are familiar
And barely so

I want to connect again...
To be the unit I broke away from so desperately
I never thought I'd miss it
Until the time came...

Cohesion never seemed so impossible.

I wanted to break away, to be free,
But now,
All I want...

Is home.

If you believe it's in my soul,
I'd say all the words that I know,
Just to see if they would show,
That I'm trying to let you know,
That I'm better off on my own.
