With each memory
a hidden secret is released
every haunting and painful thought
heals the wounds of the future
joyful moments and precious times
cushion any fall you may encounter
missing loved ones
wanting them near
knowing it can not come true
Doing all to make them proud
they look down and watch
every moment, every minute
your faith is still shaking
and wearing so thin
look up and see a smile
remember and push on
things are good
but it never lasts too long
so block out tragedies and misfortunes
with all the love in your heart
family surrounding to fight the tears away
It has never been quantity
but the quality that matters
One day, things will become
clear and almost real
but until then
confusion and question
FIND a soul
attach youself to them
press forward with balance and support
thank GOD for a life to live
and never forget the past
