All Of Me Poem by Aimee Rozen

All Of Me

at first you merely coveted my body
and so I willingly let you exploit it

when that wasn't enough, you asked for my soul
as you ask, so shall you receive

then you asked for my heart on a silver platter
so I tore it out and gave it to you

but when there was nothing left for me to give
I watched you walk away
and even though I stayed
you took me with you
