All That He Is Poem by courtney metcalf

All That He Is

He is worth more than you ever were
He is love,
He is mine.
Kisses spill,
Hugs reveal
Arms that would catch me every time.
He is the love of my life,
Something you'll never be.
Your memory once kept me chained,
But now I'm forever free.
He is smart
And he is respectful,
Things you never were.
He doesn't hit me til' I bleed
He doesn't make me hurt.
He's wonderful
He's gorgeous
He keeps me smiling every day.
And in all the ways he is different from you,
He is a blessing I cannot begin to say.
He is my world,
My happiness,
My pride and my life.
One day, when the timings right,
I know I'll be his wife.
He is my gift and he is special in so many ways,
But of all that he is,
He is in my heart to stay.
