All That I Need Poem by RIC BASTASA

all that i need robert
is a little nap

beside a kitten
unclad and then

i will continue
writing the poems

for all the cats and
dogs and for all those

who have forgotten
what sleep is,

all i need is a little
dark corner, a little light

from the candle and
an open window where

i can see the moon,
without a star

there are no stars, i so
think, in real poetry

it is more of like ants
building castles on their hills.
