All we must do is smile,
Sincerely—like the moon at night.
Hide the bits of outward sorrow,
We mustn't hold them inside.
Happiness is a choice
Amid a million sorrows.
And there's nothing more to do
But borrow a smile
from nature's blossoms,
And paste it on the walls
Of our heart within.
Yet within the confines
Of our own mind,
Happiness is not,
However, a choice at all.
So, be mindless—
Smile wide, smile wide
At all the nothing inside,
At all the pain outside.
Forget it all,
It's easier than pretending,
Pushing away
Tears,
Fears—
All pushed aside.
We rise, and emerge
In the divine peace and joy.
Not like a hypocrite,
Dwelling in false joy.
