All You Need Is A Heart Full Of Poetry
Auspicious hopes slaughtered by the Sword of Doubt,
Desperate for water in a time of drought.
Lost inside your thoughts that crawl out from the deep,
Sirens whisper toxic words, drifting you to sleep.
Stuck in the centre of a mess you didn’t make,
Problems of all magnitudes slither in like a snakes.
Tension dominates your muscles, and numbs your brain,
Lost all feeling, sucked out soul, can’t feel the blood in your veins.
You have won a few battles, lost many a war,
Though keep your mind open, leave room to explore.
There is food on the table, clothes on your back,
A heart full of poetry, burdens to attack.
