Alone Poem by Viktor Maximov

Alone

Rating: 4.5

The Danube river near flows,
Day after day are going slow.
The sky is blue, the Sun is bright.
What I must do and am I right?
The grass is green, the trees are tall.
But if my thoughts are wholly fall?
I stand alone in front of stream,
And only wish I’ve ever dreamt
To feel the warmth of dear hand,
To hear her voice up to the end,
To say: ” I love you! ”-every day,
To make her feel always OK.
Birds are flying above me,
On wind trees are shaking,
On the bank waves are lapping,
There alone I was standing.
