Alone Poem by Brianna Wilkinson

Alone

Rating: 2.0

A girl sits in a dark room again,
she awaits the day that she’s saved by a friend.
She is lost in the dark,
Waiting to be found.
She wants some one to catch her before she hits the ground.
She is falling in a bottomless pit in her mind.
Her life passing her by.
Memories of faith love and lust,
but most of broken trust.
She remembers the day of her abandonment,
wondering every day where they have went.
Her family has been broken apart,
each member holds inside them a broken heart.
She refuses to believe that she has lost her mother,
she refused to believe that she was loved by another.
she cared for her mom at the hardest times,
she didn’t believe that her mom had done those crimes.
She spent her days locked up in her house.
Trapped within herself,
trying to get out but always failing,
her family was always bailing.
She found that out the hard way by spending most of her youngest years,
locked up in her room, crying non stop tears.
She was always yelled at for her mother's mistakes,
when she thinks about it, her heart ache.
She can't wait for the day that she can leave,
but until then she'll just grieve.
She is looking forward to the day that she gets to say goodbye,
she hates the fact that they always made her cry.
She was hit yelled at and hurt,
alone n the world walking on an endless path of dirt.
Her biggest fears came true the day he came into her life,
he pierced her fragile heart with an invisible knife.
She has many invisible scars and scratches,
she has covered them up using her fake smiles as patches.
She fears his return every night,
what was even worse was the fact that she refused to fight.
These fears of hers keep her up all night,
she wishes that everything would just be all right.
She stays up very late,
thinking about all of the people that she hates
