As the darkness falls
And covers my flesh
I think to myself
I'm not as good as the rest
One way or another
You look another way
I'm searching for answers
That you can't quite say
I'm all alone here
With no one in sight
My heart is aching
And I'm losing this fight
There's a calmness about it
That I can't understand
Everything would disappear
If you would take my hand
If you don't measure up
You should let me see
That is the only way
To set my heart free
