Regret Poem by Johnathan Todd

Regret

Rating: 4.0

The stars start to shine as the sun sets

You welcome your pain and all regrets

All those bad memories are on your mind

A sweet serenity is what you must find

You walk alone in the shadows of the night

Hoping and praying for a glimpse of light

You get lost in life and search your soul

Piece by piece your becoming whole

You see the light, the end is near

You regain all the memories that you hold dear

As the stars fade you watch the sun rise

As if the darkness... has met its demise
