Alone Poem by Shayna Johnston

Alone

She's never had anything
No one was there
No one cared
Parents ... no
Siblings ... gone
Friends ... never.
She found some friends
Finally, at last
But she's drowning in tears
And she's drowning in fears
Who is there to save her?
Who is there to see?
She'd rather be alone
No one.
She doesn't want to care
Because it means she's weak
She'd rather be alone
But someone
Her best friend
Tries and tries
To save her.
Why?
She'd rather be alone.
Get away
Leave me alone
Leave me out in the cold
Don't try tosave me
Because it's far too late
Leave me
Save yourself
I'd rather be
Alone.
