RIC S. BASTASA

Alone On A Hill - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

alone on a hill
stands a cherry tree
without leaves
only twigs
stretching to the
the moon
on this cold
and damp
night
like some kind of
human hands
and thin body
in the act
of a very deep
prayer

(except for
me
it does not
know you)
