Alone On A Hill - Poem by RIC BASTASA

alone on a hill
stands a cherry tree
without leaves
only twigs
stretching to the
the moon
on this cold
and damp
like some kind of
human hands
and thin body
in the act
of a very deep

(except for
it does not
know you)
