Alone, Silent, And Still Poem by Louise Myers

Alone, Silent, And Still

When the heart is broken
no matter what the reason be,
Tears can cloud the vision
causing the eyes not to see,

Shattering of the heart
forces the mind to be subdued,
For the heart is the beginning
of all we say and do,

Yet when trials come
and we find ourselves so weak,
Help us not to become bitter
but for Your wisdom to seek,

Lord touch the heart with love
as only You can send,
Giving to it Your soothing balm
causing it to mend,

Help us pray for whatever
has caused us such pain,
Look to You for our help
for the inner peace to gain,

We love You Lord and wait
while trusting for Your Will,
As we sit here before You
alone, silent, and still.

His innerpeace: The peace
that passes all understanding.
